Explaining Taylor's Version
When Taylor first started her music career she signed a contract saying all of her music belonged to her music studio. Eventually the studio got an offer to buy all of her music from this man named Scooter Braun. He was a family friend and said it was going to be a good thing. In reality he controlled all of her albums and got most of the profit from it although it was her own work. After her album reputation she decided to make a change so for her next album "Lover" she retained the copyright ownerships. From there on she owned the rest of her albums but she still didn't own her first 6. She then decided to go back and re-record all of her tracks so that she had the ownership of all the songs. She started with Fearless, then Red, along with Speak Now, and her next album to be re-released is 1989. Overall, if you ever see (Taylor's Version) next to a song or one of her albums that basically means she owns it.
